On the way home we saw trucks hauling sugar cane in Rio Hondo so we decided to follow them to see where they were harvesting. It's not far from us about 10 miles. They have these warning signs by all the sugar cane fields as they burn the fields before going in to harvest them.
Here they are in the burned field harvesting.
Here's the machine they use. They take it to a sugar processing house right a way to process it. Would be fun to learn about that part of the sugar cane growing business.
Tomorrow should be a nicer day to be out and looking for birds.
