It turned out to be a beautiful day for ballooning. The drive to
Indianola was foggy but cleared by the time we got to the field. The balloons flew into the field where they were to drop a sandbag trying to hit a target.
Then we made it to the parade, here is a dancer with her pet snake. The kids all had their bags ready to catch the candy and there was
alot of it thrown as well as water showers from water guns. We also walked
thru the arts and crafts set up around the court house.
We then took a break and rested a bit at the RV. On the drive back to
Indianola, we stopped at a
Arnett Nature Center, it was closed but we took photos of the wildflower garden. (It sprinkled on us there.) The sky again cleared by the time we got to
Indianola.
So, we had great weather for the mass
ascension.
Some of the crowd.
Speciality balloons, they did not go up.
We didn't stay for the fireworks, needless to say we were tired from getting up at 5 am for the first balloon event after getting back the evening before at 10 pm.
Rain is in the forecast for tomorrow.
