Carlsbad RV Park
A road side shot going though TX we saw alot of these, cotton bales as well as oil wells.
We made it to Pecos, TX yesterday afternoon about 3:45. It is a nice place I haven't taken any photos though. We were going to go to town after we set up and settled the cats and when Ken tried to start the Focus it wouldn't. So with some tries from helpful people he ended up calling AAA. They were here within 20 min. and got it going. So we drove around Pecos charging up the Focus.
Let's hope it starts today. There is not much left of Pecos but empty store fronts. They have a rodeo grounds and a museum, that is about it.
While driving through Midland and Odessa we were noticing they looked pretty interesting and would like to visit them some day. Of course, Midland is the Bush's home town.
We will head up to Carlsbad, NM this morning, it is only 90 miles north. We will probably spend a couple of days there.
The cats are doing much better. Squeekie won't cry if I hold her carrier in my lap. Last night I decided I could sleep in the bed rather on the couch and the cats wouldn't mind. They only meowed a couple of times and I found the water dish tipped over.
More later from NM.

We are now at Carlsbad, NM, at a nice park that has a game room, shop, petting zoo with mini ponies and goats and cable TV. So we went to WalMart and bought a cable so we could hook up. Now we are watching old movies, quite a coincendence , old UFO movies and we are just down from Roswell. Carlsbad has a zoo and nature garden and a very neat river walk and beach area. We checked out the golf course, we may try to get in 9 holes on the par 3. So besides the National Park there are many other natural areas to visit. So our week we paid for may not be enough if we getting busy with our cameras.
More from Carlsbad tomorrow.
